We are here today with Cristina Stifanic for the first out offive appointments for the presentation of the first NFT collection dedicated to the women and BTK soccer series. First of all, let’s introduce her: Cristina is a digital andeclectic artist, well know for her art series “Diabolik PopIkon”.
Linework: And now to the pieces: Le wonderful 20. Who are these women? What do they represent?
Cristina: These twenty girls, these “Mona Lisa” as I like to define them, represent, in my imaginary world, the alter ego of the soccer clubs and the cities. I call them Mona Lisa in honour of Leonardo da Vinci, my Maestro for his artistic point of view and his multidisciplinary approach. Each of them has a unique personality: some are dreamy, some are idealist. Once the artist gives birth to a piece of art, the meaning of it gets enriched with the experiences and emotion of collectors from all over the world. Now, I can only explain my experience in realizing them. It has all started 15 years ago, when I got the copyrights of the characters from Diabolik comics, 61 years old this year. The back covers of comics are dedicated to secondary characters of the novel and I’ve spent long days selecting the iconic 20“Mona Lisa” among more than 900 comics, as it was an actual casting. OnceI have found the favourite, I have digitally painted and transformed her in an exclusive NFT for Linework Platform. In my research, I have discovered that many of Italian soccer clubs were born between the end of XIX century and the beginning of XX century: from here the idea of selecting the most vintage back cover of the whole collection rose, as to connect the past of the club to the icon of an era: the great 60’s and 70’s
Linework: The whole collection is an hymn to creativity, which is eccentric, inspired, in short: unique. How did you manage to give a shape to your fantasy and create this women?
Cristina: During my life I have travelled a lot and I have visited all the cities that inspired my Mona Lisa women. I’ve tried to put inside this artistic NFT collection sensations and colours that had moved me during my staying in these wonderful places. My Mona Lisa, the alter egos, can be seen as a tool to explore and represent parts of oneself that would be hidden or unexplored otherwise. The alter ego can also represent a way to create a deeper connection with the community, offering an emotional experience that scrapes the surface. Moreover, under this surface it is possible to find out that lady soccer players do exist and that they are amazing athletes that deserve all our admiration and our support.
Palermo
In 2022, upon request fromItalian football C league Lega Pro, I’ve realised an NFT collection dedicated to the four finalist team for Play Offs and Palermo club was one of them. I like to think that the NFT has brought some luck to the club, since it made it to B series.Palermo Mona Lisa likes strolling at dusk, with her dreamy vibe, among the majestic palms of the Royal Palace surroundings. By that hour, clouds get pink, as a symbol of hope, kindness, protection, tranquillity. Victory would have come, just believing in it! Fans believed in it, club believed in it, so much to make these words like a mantra, a hymn for the club rebirth
Frosinone
As soon asI got into the city, I have felt like a fierceness, a pride pulsing inthe air. It was like the city was a living creature, strong and determined, that has built something great among its ancient walls. I have heard the millennial history vibrating in every shade, in every tone. It is in the intense blue of the sky, though, that lays over its parks and hills, and in yellow, symbol of strength and tradition, that the Mona Lisa from Frosinone finds her inspiration.
Bolzano
Even in this case, I start with emotion, because they always inspire me, they are my muse.My first impression was to be in a place with lots of facets. Different tongue sand dialects spoken on the streets, the flavours that belong to different cultures create an unique atmosphere. The moment you realise the true greatness of the city is when you look up, though. The majestic Dolomite ssurround the city in a unique white hug, as white as the white collar of thej acket that wraps the Mona Lisa from Bolzano
Parma
Courtesy and hospitality of Parmisan people, make everybody that passes from these place sat home.In the portrait I have tried to capture the congeniality, the goliardery, the contagious passion for good food and the smile culture. To me, smile is one of the most authentic aspects of a community and the one that Mona Lisa from Parma shows is open, honest and a little sarcastic.In a word: irresistible.
Bari
Bari, known as the “Pearl of the South”, enchanted me with its bright light and the sea breeze that crosses the alleys. I remember that I have felt like a bright pearl protected by its shell. As a legend enthusiast, I could not be indifferent to the ones with sirens and the charm ofMagna Graecia. I have imagined that the unsettling gaze of the Mona Lisa from Bari looked like the one of the siren that asked for a lift to a fisherman. When she got out of the boat, the boy noticed that he had lost his memory and that the siren put as pell on him: the gift of immortality and eternal beauty in exchange for his memory.
Linework: What was the spirit that has brought you to associate this strong and determined women to a world apparently so far from them such as the professional soccer one?
Cristina: I am not an expert of soccer, so I have simply tried to relate to the passion and unconditional love of the supporters towards the team they root for. Twenty Mona Lisas, twenty sweethearts, alter egos of the cities, contaminated with patterns, flavours, perfumes, legends and symbols of the city they belong.The digital twist of shapes, colours and contents cause, in the loof of the observer, a sense of infinite animation of the piece, on whose surface, new identities are binded on the old ones in a succession of new beginnings. Just like the loyalty to the favourite team, renewed and strengthened even after a defeat, there always is the certainty of another game, another occasion tow in.
Linework: And now to the unwanted news.We have linked with a double knot this collection with the fight about violence against women that everyday hits a lot (and too many) of us all around the world. What message would you give to the community that sees your NFTs? What should they do with them?
Cristina: I would give this advice to the community: choose the NFT you like the most, that tells you something, that is special to you with the awareness that, beside collecting a piece that moves you, you are contributing helping girls, women that suffered for violence, giving them a chance to start over with their lives. It is not the first timeI combine my art with charity purposes and I will keep doing it every time I can.There are many reasons for people to choose to do good. Some does it to make a difference in somebody else’s life, some to be helpful, some more because they believe it is important to give something back to the community. Beyond all that, there is that sense of gratification to have helped somebody in difficulty or have improved someone’s life. Besides, this can help developing a sense of connection with others and be part of something bigger.

Linework: E ora alle opere:Le magnifiche 20.Chi sono queste donne? Cosa rappresentano?
Cristina: Queste venti ragazze, le “Monna Lisa” come mi piace definirle, rappresentano, nel mio mondo immaginario, le alter ego dei club calcistici e delle città.Le definisco Monna Lisa in onore di Leonardo da Vinci, mioMaestro non sono dal punto di vista artistico, ma anche per la sua multi disciplinarietà. Ognuna di loro ha una personalità unica: alcune sono più sognanti altre più idealiste. Una volta che l’artista immette nel mondo un’opera d’arte il suo significato viene arricchito dall’esperienza e dalle emozioni delle collezioniste ed i collezionisti di tutto il mondo. Qui, posso spiegare solo la mia esperienza nel realizzarle. Tutto è iniziato 15 anni fa quando ho ottenuto i diritti di immagine dei personaggi del fumetto Diabolik che compie questo anno ben 61 anni. I retro-copertina, o quarte di copertina, dei fumetti sono dedicati ai personaggi secondari del racconto, ho trascorso giorni interi a selezionare tra gli oltre 900 numeri del fumetto le 20 iconiche miss, come se fosse un vero e proprio casting. Una volta trovata la mia preferita l’ho dipinta digitalmente e l’ho trasformata in un esclusivo NFT perla piattaforma Linework.In fase di ricerca ho scoperto come molti dei club calcistici italiani fossero nati tra la fine dell’800 e l’inizio del 900: da qui l’idea di selezionare i retro copertina più vintage di tutta la collezione, come a legare il passato dei club all’immagine simbolo di un’epoca: i mitici anni ’60e ’70
Linework: Tutta la collezione è un inno alla creatività, eccentrica, ispirata, in poche parole: unica.Come sei riuscita a dare una forma alla tua fantasia e a creare queste donne?
Cristina:Nella mia vita ho viaggiato molto ed ho visitato tutte le città a cui sono ispirate le mie Monna Lisa.Ho provato a inserire in questa collezione di NFT artistici le sensazioni ed i colori che mi avevano emozionato durante i miei soggiorni in questi meravigliosi luoghi. Le mieMonna Lisa, ovvero l’alter ego, qui possono essere viste come uno strumento per esplorare e rappresentare parti di sé che altrimenti sarebbero rimaste nascoste o inesplorate. L’alter ego può anche essere un modo per creare una connessione più profonda con la community, offrendo un’esperienza emotiva che va oltre la superficie. E sotto questa superficie scopriamo che esistono anche le calciatrici, atlete fantastiche che meritano tutta la nostra ammirazione ed il nostro supporto.
Palermo
Nel 2022, su richiesta della Lega Pro serie C, realizzai una collezione di NFT dedicata alle quattro finaliste Play Off e tra queste c’era anche il club delPalermo. Mi piace pensare che quell’NFT abbia portato un po’ di fortuna al club dato che è passato in serie B. Alla Monna Lisa di Palermo piace passeggiare, con la sua aria sognante, all’ora del tramonto tra le maestose palme nel quartiere di Palazzo Reale. A quell’ora, le nuvole si tingono di rosa simbolo di speranza, gentilezza, protezione, tranquillità. La vittoria sarebbe arrivata, Bastava crederci! Ci hanno creduto i tifosi, ci ha creduto il club, tanto da far diventare queste parole quasi un mantra, un inno per la rinascita del club.
Frosinone
Appena arrivata in città, ho sentito subito una fierezza, un orgoglio pulsare nell’aria. Era come se la città stessa fosse una creatura viva, forte e determinata, che aveva realizzato qualcosa di grande tra le sue antiche mura.Ho sentito la storia millenaria vibrare in ogni sfumatura, in ogni tonalità. Ma è nel blu intenso del cielo, che si stende sopra i suoi parchi e le sue colline, e nel giallo, emblema di forza e tradizione, che la Monna Lisa di Frosinone trova la sua ispirazione.
Bolzano
Anche in questo caso parto dalle emozioni, perché sono sempre loro ad ispirarmi, sono loro la mia musa. La prima impressione è stata quella di essere in un luogo con molte sfaccettature. Le diverse lingue e dialetti che si sentono parlare per le strade, i sapori che appartengono a culture differenti creano un’atmosfera unica. Ma è quando si alza lo sguardo che ci si rende conto della vera grandezza della città. Le maestose Dolomiti, circondano la città in un unico abbraccio imbiancato, proprio come il collo bianco della giacca che avvolge la MonnaLisa di Bolzano
Parma
La cordialità, l’ospitalità dei parmigiani e dei parmensi, fanno sentire a casa chiunque sia passato da quelle parti. Nel ritratto ho cercato di catturare la simpatia, la goliardia, la passione contagiosa per il buon cibo e la cultura del sorriso. Il sorriso, per me, è uno degli aspetti più autentici di un popolo e quello della Monna Lisa di Parma è aperto, sincero e un po’ beffardo.In una unica parola: irresistibile.
Bari
Bari, soprannominatala “Perla del Sud”,mi ha incantata con la sua luce brillante e la brezzamarina che attraversava i vicoli. Ricordo di essermi sentita come una perla luminosa protetta dalla sua conchiglia. Appassionata di leggende, non potevo restare indifferente a quelle sulle sirene ed al fascino della Magna Grecia. Ho immaginato che lo sguardo perturbante della Monna Lisa di Bari fosse quello di una sirena che chiese un passaggio in barca ad un pescatore. Quando scese dalla barca, il ragazzo si accorse che aveva perso la memoria e che la sirena gli aveva fatto un incantesimo: il dono dell’immortalità e della bellezza eterna in cambio della sua memoria.
Linework: Qual è stato lo spirito che ti ha portato ad associare queste donne forti e volitive ad un mondo all’apparenza così lontano come quello del calcio professionistico?
Cristina: Non essendo molto esperta di calcio, ho provato semplicemente ad immedesimarmi nella passione e nell’amore in condizionato ed eterno dei tifosi verso la squadra del loro cuore. Venti Monna Lisa, venti ragazze del cuore, alter ego delle città, contaminate con pattern, sapori, profumi, leggende e simboli delle città di appartenenza.L’intreccio digitale di forme, colori e contenuti provoca, nello sguardo dell’osservatore, un senso di infinita animazione dell’opera, sulla cui superficie, nuove identità si incollano su quelle vecchie in una successione di nuovi inizi. Proprio come la fedeltà verso la squadra del cuore che si rinnova e si rafforza anche dopo una sconfitta perché c’è sempre un’altra partita, un’altra occasione per vincere.
Linework: Ed ora alle dolenti note. Abbiamo legato a doppio nodo questa collezione alla lotta contro la violenza sulle donne che ogni giorno colpisce tante (e troppe) di noi in tutto il mondo.Che messaggio daresti alla community che vede i tuoi NFT? Cosa “dovrebbero farsene”?
Cristina: Alla community darei questo consiglio: scegliere gli NFT che più vi piacciono, che vi raccontano qualcosa, che sono speciali per voi con la consapevolezza che oltre a collezionare un’opera che vi emoziona, state contribuendo ad aiutare ragazze, donne che hanno subito violenza, offrendo loro una possibilità per ripartire nella loro vita. Non è la prima volta che abbino la mia arte a scopi di beneficienza e continuerò a farlo ogni volta che ne avrò l’occasione. Ci sono molte ragioni per cui le persone scelgono di fare del bene agli altri. Alcuni lo fanno perché vogliono fare la differenza nella vita degli altri, altri per sentirsi utili, altri ancora lo fanno perché credono che sia importante restituire qualcosa alla comunità. Oltre a tutto questo c’è anche quel senso di gratificazione per aver aiutato qualcuno in difficoltà o averne migliorato la vita. Inoltre, può aiutare a sviluppare un senso di connessione con gli altri e a sentirsi parte di qualcosa di più grande.

В портрете я попыталася передать конгениальность, голиардию, заразительную страсть кхорошей еде и культуру улыбки. Для меня улыбка-это один из самых подлинных аспектовсообщества, а улыбка Моны Лизы из Пармы-открытая, честная и немного саркастичная. Однимсловом: неотразима.

Linework: Что побудило вас связать этих сильных и решительных женщин с таким, казалось бы,далеким от них миром, как профессиональный футбол?
Кристина: Я не знаток футбола, поэтому я просто попыталась соотнести страсть и безусловнуюлюбовь болельщиков к команде, за которую они болеют. Linework: А теперь к нежелательным новостям. Мы связали двойным узлом эту коллекцию сборьбой против насилиянад женщинами, которое каждый день поражает многих (и слишкоммногих) из нас по всему миру. Какое послание вы бы дали обществу, которое увидит ваши NFT?Что им следует с ними делать?
Кристина: Я бы дала такой совет сообществу: выбирайтеNFT, которые вам больше всего нравятся,которые говорят вам о чем-то, которые являются для вас особенными, осознавая, что помимотого, что вы собираете вещь, которая вас трогает, вы вносите свой вклад в помощь девочкам,женщинам, которые пострадали от насилия, давая им шансначать жизнь заново. Я не в первыйраз совмещаю свое искусство с благотворительными целями и буду продолжать делать этокаждый раз, когда смогу. Есть много причин, по которым люди предпочитают творить добро. Кто-то делает это, чтобы изменить чью-то жизнь клучшему, кто-то-чтобы быть полезным, кто-то-потому что считает важным отдать что-то обществу. Помимо всего этого, есть еще и чувствоудовлетворения от того, что помог кому-то в трудной ситуации или улучшил чью-то жизнь. Linework: Y ahora a las obras: Las magníficas 20. ¿Quiénes son estas mujeres? ¿Qué
representan?
Cristina: Estas veinte chicas, las “Mona Lisas” como me gusta llamarlas, representan, en mi
mundo imaginario, los alter egos de clubes de fútbol y ciudades. Las llamo Mona Lisa en honor a
Leonardo da Vinci, mi Maestro no solo desde el punto de vista artístico, sino también por su
multidisciplinariedad. Cada uno de ellos tiene una personalidad única: algunos son más soñadores,
otros más idealistas. Una vez que el artista coloca una obra de arte en el mundo, su significado se
enriquece con la experiencia y las emociones de los coleccionistas de todo el mundo. Aquí, solo
puedo explicar mi experiencia al hacerlos. Todo comenzó hace 15 años cuando obtuve los derechos
de imagen de los personajes del cómic Diabolik que este año cumple 61 años. Las contraportadas, o
contraportadas, de los cómics están dedicadas a los personajes secundarios de la historia, pasé días
enteros seleccionando las 20 misses icónicas de los más de 900 números del cómic, como si de un
auténtico casting se tratara. Una vez que encontré mi favorito, lo pinté digitalmente y lo convertí en
un NFT exclusivo para la plataforma Linework. Durante la fase de investigación, descubrí cuántos de
los clubes de fútbol italianos nacieron entre finales de 1800 y principios de 1900: de ahí la idea de
seleccionar las contraportadas más antiguas de toda la colección, como para vincular del pasado de
los clubes a la imagen simbólica de una época: los míticos años 60 y 70.
Linework: Toda la colección es un himno a la creatividad, excéntrica, inspirada, en
pocas palabras: única. ¿Cómo conseguiste dar forma a tu fantasía y crear estas mujeres?
Cristina: En mi vida he viajado mucho y he visitado todas las ciudades que inspiran a mis Mona
Lisas. Traté de incluir en esta colección de NFTs artísticos las sensaciones y colores que me habían
conmovido durante mis estancias en estos maravillosos lugares. Mis Mona Lisas o alter egos pueden
verse aquí como una herramienta para explorar y representar partes de uno mismo que de otro
modo habrían permanecido ocultas o inexploradas. Alter ego también puede ser una forma de crear
una conexión más profunda con la comunidad, ofreciendo una experiencia emocional que va más
allá de la superficie. Y bajo esta superficie descubrimos que también hay futbolistas mujeres,
fantásticas deportistas que merecen toda nuestra admiración y apoyo
Palermo
En 2022, a pedido de la Liga Pro Serie C, creé una colección de NFT dedicada a los cuatro finalistas
de Play Off y entre estos también estaba el club de Palermo. Me gusta pensar que NFT trajo algo de
suerte al club cuando ascendieron a la Serie B.
A la Mona Lisa de Palermo le gusta pasear, con su aire soñador, al atardecer entre las majestuosas
palmeras del barrio de Palacio real. En ese momento, las nubes se vuelven rosas como símbolo de
esperanza, bondad, protección, tranquilidad. La victoria vendría, ¡basta creerlo! La afición creía en ello, el club creía en ello, tanto que estas palabras se convirtieron casi en un mantra, en un himno al
renacimiento del club.
Frosinone
Tan pronto como llegué a la ciudad, inmediatamente sentí un orgullo palpitando en el aire. Era como
si la ciudad misma fuera una criatura viviente, fuerte y decidida, que había logrado algo grande
dentro de sus antiguas murallas. Sentí vibrar la historia milenaria en cada matiz, en cada tono. Pero
es en el azul intenso del cielo, que se extiende sobre sus parques y colinas, y en el amarillo,
emblema de fuerza y tradición, que la Mona Lisa de Frosinone encuentra su inspiración.
Bolzano
También en este caso parto de las emociones, porque siempre me inspiran, son mi musa.
La primera impresión fue la de estar en un lugar con muchas facetas. Los diferentes idiomas y
dialectos que escuchas en las calles, los sabores que pertenecen a diferentes culturas crean una
atmósfera única. Pero es cuando miras hacia arriba cuando te das cuenta de la verdadera grandeza
de la ciudad. Las majestuosas Dolomitas envuelven la ciudad en un solo abrazo encalado, como el
cuello blanco de la chaqueta que envuelve a la Mona Lisa de Bolzano.
Parma
La amabilidad y hospitalidad de la gente de Parma hacen que cualquiera que haya pasado por esos
lugares se sienta como en casa. En el retrato he intentado plasmar la simpatía, la alegría, la pasión
contagiosa por la buena comida y la cultura de la sonrisa. Para mí la sonrisa es uno de los aspectos
más auténticos de un pueblo y la de la Mona Lisa de Parma es abierta, sincera y hasta un poco
burlona. En una palabra: irresistible.
Bari
Bari, apodada la “Perla del Sur”, me encantó con su luz brillante y la brisa marina que pasaba por los
callejones. Recuerdo sentirme como una perla brillante protegida por su caparazón. Apasionado de
las leyendas, no podía quedarme indiferente ante las de sirenas y el encanto de Magna Grecia.
Imaginé que la mirada siniestra de la Mona Lisa de Bari era la de una sirena que le pedía a un
pescador que la subiera a un bote. Cuando se bajó del bote, el niño se dio cuenta de que había
perdido la memoria y que la sirena le había lanzado un hechizo: el regalo de la inmortalidad y la
belleza eterna a cambio de su memoria.
Linework: ¿Cuál fue el espíritu que te llevó a asociar a estas mujeres fuertes y testarudas con un mundo aparentemente tan lejano como el del fútbol profesional?
Cristina: Al no ser muy experta en fútbol, simplemente traté de identificarme con la pasión y el amor incondicional y eterno de la afición hacia el equipo de su corazón. Veinte Mona Lisas, veinte niñas del corazón, alter ego de las ciudades, contaminadas de estampados, sabores, perfumes, leyendas y símbolos de las ciudades a las que pertenecen. El entrecruzamiento digital de formas, colores y contenidos provoca, en la mirada del observador, una sensación de infinita animación de la obra, en cuya superficie se pegan nuevas identidades a las antiguas en una sucesión de nuevos comienzos. Como la lealtad a tu equipo favorito que se renueva y fortalece incluso después de una derrota porque siempre hay otro partido, otra oportunidad de ganar.
Linework: Y ahora a las notas tristes. Hemos vinculado esta colección a la lucha contra
la violencia contra las mujeres que afecta a muchos (y demasiados) de nosotros en todo
el mundo todos los días. ¿Qué mensaje le darías a la comunidad que ve tus NFT? ¿Qué
“deberían hacer con él”?
Cristina:A la comunidad le daría este consejo: elige los NFT que más te gusten, que te digan algo, que sean especiales para ti con la conciencia de que además de coleccionar una obra que te emociona, estás contribuyendo a ayudar a las niñas, mujeres que han sufrido violencia,
ofreciéndoles la oportunidad de reiniciar sus vidas. Esta no es la primera vez que dono mi arte a la caridad y continuaré haciéndolo cada vez que tenga la oportunidad. Hay muchas razones por las que las personas eligen hacer el bien a los demás. Algunos lo hacen porque quieren hacer una diferencia en la vida de los demás, otros para sentirse útiles, otros lo hacen porque creen que es importante devolver algo a la comunidad. A todo esto se suma también esa sensación de gratificación por haber ayudado a alguien en necesidad o haber mejorado su vida. Además, puede ayudarlo a desarrollar un sentido de conexión con los demás y sentir que es parte de algo más grande.
